 A few of Questions
« Thread Started on Jun 25, 2009, 9:20pm »

Okay, first of all: Hello! My name is Kelly (or you can call me Wynnre, it really doesn't matter). I am new to proboards and I have limited experience role playing wolves. If I make a mistake or if you think I should know something/can say something in a better way then please tell me!

First of all, I want to play a Fennec. (Yes, Fennec Fox, my favorite canine). Do I have to have a wolf too? Can he be a lone Fennec?

Do I have to bold what my character says? Why not use quotes? ("")

Okay, those are my main questions. I read as much as I could, but I hope you understand there is a lot to read. Thanks for your patience.

I'm not Grey, but I can help answer!

First of all, some of your questions can be found answered in the FAQs, the main rules, and other informational threads. I suggest reading that first. But:

Yeah, foxes are allowed to be roleplayed in the Warrior Lands. If you read the species thread and the information, foxes come in Fennec species. You don't have to have a wolf, if I recall, but since this is a wolf roleplay site, it's good and fun to have one. Your Fennec can be a lone Fennec.

You should read the main rules that Grey posted. Dialogue spoken by your characters are required to be in bold. I don't know the solid answer to why they can just be in quotations " "; Grey can answer that for you.

I'm going to let Grey and the others fill in for you. :)

Thank you so much. I've tried to read all that I can, but there are so many threads and categories that I am not sure if I read everything, but thank you for clearing up some of my questions and where to find them.

;D

I apologize for the large number of information threads that are on here, but they're there to try and avoid confusion and to add extra depth to the site (something i'm constantly trying to improve)

You do not need to have a wolf character in order to play in the Warrior Lands, though it is recomended as this is mainly a wolf roleplay site, but please be aware that if you latter decide to have your fox join a pack then it will have to be Fire Tribe as they are the only ones who accept foxes at this time.
This may change in the near future, as I'm not sure what kinds of characters Lachime is planning to allow into the rogue pack when it's set up.

As for speech, you should be using quotations anyway, but we ask that you also put it in bold so that it is easy to see when the character is speaking. There is a simular reason for why thoughts are asked to be kept in italics.

Hope his helps.

I'm impressed that you, unlike so many other newcomers, actually took the time to go through the information before creating a character! And that you asked questions when you were unsure instead of bumbling through!

That kind of responsibility and maturity is something all roleplay forums expect but rarely receive. I look forward to roleplaying with you, Kelly.
