Welcome to the Warrior Lands
Now, as so many times before, the Warrior Lands are gripped in the claws of war as the Light and the Dark prepare to face off for ownership of the lands. But never before has the cost been so high. This time, if the Dark succeeds all Light creatures can look forward to nothing but a life of slavery and misery. The lands will slip away; consumed by the darkness, destroyed by the rise of the demons. Peace can come only if the Light comes out victorious.......but the Darkness, despite being led by a young clan, is already the stronger force.
The cost of war is always high, and even now, when the final battles have not been fought and the end events not yet begun to fold, the lands suffer. No matter how hard the Light fights or how fast is grows, it finds itself powerless to halt or even match the growth and power of the Darkness.
Warriors fall, pups slaughtered, families rent, and only YOUR input as members can save the Warrior Lands. But will you choose to destroy it instead?
Time of year
Month: August Season: Late Summer Mating: No Birthing: No Weather:Temperatures have reached an all time high, and continue to rise in the peak of each day. Neither rain nor cloud have been seen around WL for months, and water is now at a premium. Most pools are now little more than thin layers of sludge-filled mud, and should be avoided at all costs. Grazers are now all but gone, for the grass contains no nutrients to speak of, and fish supplies have been virtually wiped out by the falling water levels.

The Beach Fine white sand extends as far as the eye can see. To the far east, it gives way to shingle and boulders before meeting with the lower mountain slopes, and, the far west, performs a slow shift into the mudflats that will eventually become the Grasslands, or the Swamplands. Cliffs boarder much of the southern line and a single river extends through its western end before entering Eagle lands. The lower portions of the beach belong to various seal species through winter and spring, its shores are turned black by crabs a few nights each year, and the shallows are usually flooded with herring for about a week of every summer. The Ancient ruins The ruins of a long abandoned civilisation are crowded into a clearing towards the north east of the Abandoned Forests. Many of the buildings that once stood here have now been reduced, by time and nature, to little more than shells of what they once were, and there are almost no signs of the life that once filled it to the very brim. However, the whispers of countless lost soles still steel through the stones and small predators such as spiders and snakes have made their homes within the gloom, making wolves unwilling to put so much as a paw over its threshold. Note: These ruins are somewhat akin to the Mayan ruins of our own world, but far more overgrown. Moderators: Greymuzzles, Lachime

The Abandoned Forests Few remember the parts that this forest has played in WL’s history, or even the many disasters that have broken themselves upon its fringes, but all agree that it has stood in place, almost untouched, since the very beginning of time. One begins to feel that something isn’t quite right from the moment they step into the green light of its outer edges and, as they press deeper into it’s gloom, effectively travelling back through the far reaches of time, this feeling of unease swiftly begins to rise up and overwhelm all over senses. The further into its depths you move, the worse the feeling becomes, for the power and age of depths far outreach that of its younger edges. The very heart of the forest throbs with a life all of its own, allowing the many plants that make up its depths to move independently of growth, wind and even the touch of other creatures, and a multitude of cracked voices whisper at the very edge of hearing as trees communicate with each other and their guardians. This life washes throughout its vast reach, but grows steadily weaker as it extends further from the heart so that, when it hits the very edges, it is little more than a nagging feeling. Note: The life of the forest, whilst fading towards its outskirts, is not constant in any part of the forest. It is at its strongest around the truly ancient trees, meaning that, in the few areas that one of the early seeds put down its roots far from the heart, there is a significant increase in its power. The Mountians The mountains jut out from the rougher ground at the eastern edges of WL and, in many places, extend high up into the clouds. They loop around Enol-Tenmele’s territory in a seemingly unbreachable ring, then snake off to slice a little way across its southern ocean and through the southern most edges of the Fire Zone. Their middle levels are dotted with natural caves that are often more than large enough to shelter a small party of wolves, and all but the innermost edges of Enol-Tenmele’s ring are inhabited by bears and Snow Leopards.
The Barren Lands (1 sub-board) A vast stretch of yellow-orange sand which is only broken by the rocks, cacti and sand dunes that rise from its surface. This is a land of extremes, with temperatures soaring to deadly levels through the day and falling far below freezing at the fall of night, so that the only chance comes from specialised lifestyles. Water is scarce, only to be found in a handful of concealed oasis’ and the plant-edged river that snakes through its centre, leading the unwary into the very heart of Ironesh territory, and shade is even scarcer. The Grasslands The Grasslands are, perhaps, the most densely populated region within WL. It is an area of lush grass which often rises high enough to brush across a wolfs face and provides a home to a range of animals, from rodents to deer, that act as a key food source for all of the lands predators. Water is plentiful and the weather is usually mild, making this the ideal place for many loners and small bands to make their homes. Moderators: Greymuzzles, Lachime

The Frozen lands (3 sub-boards) The Frozen Lands occupies the north-western corner of WL and takes the form of a stretch of tundra which is largely constructed from thick sheets of ice and snow. It reaches out for several miles, even extending into the Wild Lands, and flows straight up into WL’s north-west ocean and the crystalline mountains that form a crescent around the Sacred Plains, and a barrier between it and the neighbouring Barren Lands. The Frozen Lands are inhabited by numerous small wolf and fox packs who have laid claims to small swathes of land, several herds of reindeer and muskoxen and even a couple of seal species, but are dominated by the Ice Bears who have reigned supreme for longer than anyone can remember.
The Swamplands The Swamplands extend from the oceans to the north and west, to the fringes of the Abandoned Forests and Grasslands. They are home to most of WL’s dangerous reptiles, including Alligators, constrictors, venomous snakes and cannibalistic monitor lizards (with a taste for wolf flesh), and also harbour quicksand and concealed lakes / rivers / holes. They are thought to be one of the oldest of WL’s territories, and have long been the main site for pack formations, and the training required to obtain territory. Unfortunately, few ‘alien’ inhabitants survive. Moderators: Greymuzzles, Lachime

The Fire Zone (1 sub-board) The Fire Zone is an expanse of reddish-brown and black volcanic rock which appears to be without any life other than a scattering of twisted shrubs and lichens. It is mostly flat and unbearable quiet, but its eastern half (which extends beyond WL) is dominated by chains of devastated mountains, churned-up rock and lakes of sitting lava and boiling water. In this region the silence is frequently destroyed by rumblings from within the half-destroyed mountains, and by the hiss of geysers and steaming air. The ground here is hot to the touch, riddled with jagged, magma-oozing cracks, and plagued by regular tremors. Note: These lands are inhabited by the Fire Tribe.
Member Bios This board contains the bios of individual members, and provides considerably more information about them than the proboards-issue profiles. Members may post whatever they wish in these bios, but the standard layout consists of three posts: an initial post containing information about the member, a second post containing links to their characters, and a third staff-made post containing details of their past awards.
Absent Post here to inform us of any upcoming absences, and temporarily avoid the risk of account deletion.
Note: Whilst we are lenient towards the length of notified absences, remaining inactive for considerably longer than the duration your post suggests is likely to lead to penalties.

History This board contains threads which tell of the distant and recent history of the Warrior Lands. Please be aware that there is very little surviving evidence to back the accounts within this board, and that many may well have been embellished or edited over time, but that they are mostly believed to recount true events.
Prominent Figures This board contains information about some of the most important characters in WL’s past and present. They are typically classed as Notable, Blessed, Sacred or Cursed, and have had a significant impact on the overall development of the Warrior Lands.
A thread labelled ‘The Names’ acts as a kind of catalogue of all of the known individuals who fall into these four categories, and provides brief descriptions for those that are named. Certain others, who have often proved to be more important figures, are graced with a thread of their own, which provides more in-depth information about their roles.
Symbolism & Traditions This board contains information about some of the symbolism and traditions that exist amongst the races. Moderators: Greymuzzles, Lachime
Myths & Legends This board contains information about the many myths and legends of the Warrior Lands. Whilst many of these may be completely made up or only very loosely based on true events, there are those that could well be real accounts of pieces of WL’s history. However, all of the threads within this board speak of things that WL’s inhabitants do not really believe in. Moderators: Greymuzzles, Lachime
Archives (9 sub-boards) This board contains old threads that have ended, are no longer needed, or became inactive. Consider them a part of the site's history, and feel free to have a read through.
The threads are sorted into sub-boards for convenience.
The Deceased (10 sub-boards) This board contains the bios of all of the characters that are now classed as being deceased. These include characters belonging to members who were deleted for inactivity. Moderators: Greymuzzles, Lachime
